    • Family-oriented ships have huge facilities that often include multiple play areas for the youngest cruisers, teen hangouts and discos, kid pools, waterslides, arcades and kids-only deck space. Some lines offer unique programs, such as acting and juggling classes, science experiments and DJ training.

    • Yes it is
    • Ships must follow an extraordinary number of rules and regulations in place to protect passengers' (and crewmembers') safety while onboard. The Coast Guard conducts rigorous, quarterly inspections of all ships that operate from U.S. ports, looking to make sure they comply with emergency response requirements. Ships also operate under international rules, known as Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). The rules regulate everything from fire safety to navigation and maritime security. The rules also require that before the ship sails, everyone must participate in a safety drill that includes instructions on locating and putting on life jackets and finding your assigned lifeboat.
    • We may be more at risk driving to the airport or boarding a plane to get to your homeport than you are once at sea.
    • In the aftermath of the Concordia tragedy, the Cruise Lines International Association adopted a cruise industry passenger bill of rights. The bill guarantees passengers rights in 10 areas including safety, comfort and care.
    • Rights include "a full refund for a trip that is canceled due to mechanical failures or a partial refund for voyages that are terminated early due to these failures" and "timely information updates as to any adjustments in the itinerary of the ship in the event of a mechanical failure or emergency, as well as timely updates of the status of efforts to address mechanical failures."
    • Also note that cruise ships are like mini-cities, and you should take the same general travel precautions you would on land. Keep any valuables in your cabin's safe (or leave them at home), and don't open your cabin door without verifying who's there. Parents, give children strict rules about when they can and cannot roam the ship without adult supervision -- especially near the swimming pool.
    • Like most land-based resorts, few ships have lifeguards, so make sure to review pool safety tips before your cruise. For more on cruise ship safety, read our tips for staying safe on a cruise ship.

Can't describe this experience in few words. It was beyond my expectation. The ship is majestic. Food was great, restaurants were elegant and very high class. Everything was neat and clean and well maintained and on time.

The Cruise was awesome. Highly recommended to all. [Fortunately due to large Indian group tour bookings on the cruise we had a dedicated Indian meals restaurant available which had amazing spread (including Jain food). The Cruise itself was amazing. We had a Balcony room which gave us stunning views. The Experience was awesome, The Cruise staff was good. The Shore Excursion was also very nice. On Shore Excursion - just 1 observation - The Cruise had a special excursion available for people to book on the spot which was not in their excursion plan..this tour was far better as it included KLTowers, Twin Towers and Batu Caves in one excursion..Cruise should have offered this as part of their normal excursion plan bookings also

Onboard experience could have been better, cruise was smaller than expected even swimming pool was small compared to total guests and other cruise liners. Also was expecting interactions with foreigners but mainly all the guests were from India only

"Overall the experience was good as this was our first trip on a cruise. However, couple of things to be pointed out: 1) As a travel agent, I would have expected a choice of cruise. Superstar Gemini seems to be the aam janta ka cruise. Would have prefered the Royal Caribbean. 2) There was no gala dinner on-board. That was a miss communication. "

Rooms are very old now, they must think on change of ambience, JAIN FOOD & VEG FOOD is the worst I ever had for the sake of 17,500 Rs / Night. Really their food service is worst and their food waiters servces you like you are prisonors. Overall 3/5

Overall experience was good. But you did not tell us few important things when we booked the cruise. Crew told us that swimming costume is required to enter pool. So we could not swim :( They also told us that we need to bring our own basket ball. So we could not play that too. :(

    3.0/5.0

Overall a very different and good experience except that the vessel was over crowded and the boarding and immigration was very slow and time consuming. Since most of the fellow passengers were Indians so the queue for Indian food was always long. It was nowhere close to even a 2 star treatment at the dining areas. Most of the staff members were rude and non co-operative. My key cards got blocked almost 3-4 times in the 36 hours and every time to get them working, I had to queue up at the reception and wait for almost 30 minutes!

I have booked 2 rooms as a family ( 2 kids aged 11 & 16 years ) both the rooms are so far away that we could not use one room at all as we cant leave the kids to stay alone in one room & that too in other end of the ship . My request for change of room is not accepted & hence have to manage in one room inspite of paying for 2 rooms . disappointed with the room arrangement & the entire experience was like one marriage party ( too crowded everywhere ) . Check out experience was pathetic without any support from cruise team.

Experience was good. Only area where we found scope of improvement was the staff attitude. In hospitality industry you need to have staff who are always smiling with welcoming attitude which was really missing. Other than that it was very professional and well organized.
